Special Meeting Minutes | October 12, 2023

The Town Board of the Town of Cedar Lake met at the Cedar Lake Town Hall in a Special session,at 8:00 AM, Thursday, Oct. 12, 2023, to discuss exceeding the levy for 2024. Present was Ken Leners, Chairman, Kory Weiss, Mary Hele, Supervisors, Clerk Maryhelen Drew, and Treasurer, Gladys Roux. After discussion, a motion was made to pass Resolution 2023-10-2, to exceed the levy limit for 2024 in the amount of $200,000, 34.836% increase by Mary, seconded by Kory .  Roll call vote: Ken,yes: Kory, yes: Mary , yes. Motion passed.

     Kory made a motion to hold a special meeting on Friday, Oct. 27th, 2023 at the Cedar Lake Town Hall at 6:30 PM for the purpose of discussion of Resolution 2023-10-3, which gives town electors ability to vote to exceed the levy limit.

     Amotion was made to adjourn the meeting by Kory, seconded by Ken and approved by all present.
