Town Board Special Meeting/Closed Minutes August 29, 2017

SPECIAL MEETING/CLOSED   AUGUST 29,2017

     The Town Board met in special session on Monday, August 29^th, at 10 AM at the Cedar Lake Town Hall in Mikana.  Attending were Ken Leners, Chairman, Kory Weiss, Tony Wolff, Supervisors and Maryhelen Drew, Clerk.  Meeting was called to order by Ken in open session.  A motion was made to go into closed session by Kory, seconded by Tony.  Ken, Aye Kory, Aye Tony, Aye.

     The purpose of the meeting is to discuss employee compensation.   Overtime will be approved by Ken only for Mike and Scott from this time until further notice. It will be 80 hours a pay period for Mike and 50 hours a pay period for Scott.

     Discussed alternatives for pay for the position Mike now holds for future.

     Ken has met with an attorney and the Town does need a contract with the Four Corners Police Dept.  Discussed need for commission.

   No decisions were made in regard to Law enforcement at this time.  Need to be prepared to vote on this at the Sept. 11^th meeting.  Don’t necessarily need to have decision prior to budget work meeting.

     Ken made the motion to adjourn the closed session.  Tony seconded and all approved.
