Reconstruction of E Lake Shore Drive set for Sept. 23 & 24

The Barron County Highway Department is planning a road reconstruction project in the Town of Cedar Lake on Wednesday, September 23, and Thursday, September 24, 2026. This will require closing the road during the day, with the possibility of overnight closures.

The affected area is on 28 5/8 Ave (E Lake Shore Dr), between fire number 2835 and 28 1/4 St (Methil Dr). This closure will cut off access to the southeast side of Red Cedar Lake and the north side of Hemlock Lake from the north.
