TOWN ROAD CLOSURES

A culvert failed on 29th Ave/Park Road causing a washout that forced the road to be closed until further notice.  This was a major washout that will require major construction to open the road to traffic.  There is a pedestrian bridge installed so that home owners can get in and out.  Barron County officials are assessing the damage and will start repairs as soon as water recedes enough to make the repairs. Also Gateshead Road/28 1/16th ave is closed until further notice between Kingston 26 9/16 St. and Brunswick 26th 5/8th St. because of culvert failure undermining the blacktop. The swamp road remains closed due to condition. Check the website daily for any updates.

Town Road Bans

According to Scott Walters, Town Patrolman- Road Bans will be lifted May 10th, Friday.  The Swamp road will remain closed until further notice.

Swamp Road Closed Until further Notice

Due to frost boils coming out of the gravel, the Swamp road will be closed to all traffic.  This is being done to stop further damage done by heavy vehicles.  Please make route changes that will allow the road to dry out.  We will post a notice when the road reopens.

Cedar Lake Ladies lend a helping "foot"

After the Town Caucus this past Saturday, the Cedar Lake Ladies group donated new rubber guards for the feet of all the folding chairs for the town hall.  This will help tremendously in preventing wear and tear on the wood floor.  Other town residents also stayed after the meeting to help put them on.   ]]>
